A Girl in Charge

A Girl in Charge

Day 267 – Walking through the stables I noticed a sign that read – “A horse doesn’t care how much you know, until he knows how much you care.  -Pat Parelli”.  And if you can make friends with a horse, gain his trust so he yields to you – well, that is a mighty wonderful thing, indeed.

Evening on the Wire

Evening on the Wire

Day 261 – The birds that migrate through this area find some room in the tree line. But some birds like a better view from the guide wires of the large cell tower.

Day 258 – I was going through some old photos today and I came across this one. We were at the Lincoln Park Zoo and the seagulls were out near the food court looking for lunch. They are quite used to people so it’s possible to get fairly close. But don’t expect them to pose if you don’t have a tasty morsel for them.

Summer Nest

Day 256 – We discovered this little nest in our backyard tonight. I am not sure if it has been abandoned or not. Guess I’ll have to keep an eye out for mom and dad.

I Don’t Get It

I Don’t Get It

Day 251 – This is pretty much how I looked watching the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympics in London tonight. I am sure many will disagree with me, but I just didn’t get “it”.

Day 246 – At the end of the day, it’s the simple things that make me smile.
