Day 108 – This drawing was found among my grandfather’s souvenirs and papers from WWII. He probably picked it up when he was in Hawaii or Japan.

Day 64 – December 7, 1941 – “…a day that will live in infamy…” FDR.

This statue is part of a larger display memorializing the other major conflicts America has been in. Someone had left the rose in her hand. I thought that it was worth remembering all the women who serve in wartime and the sacrifices they made.

Day 58 – My grandfather, PFC John P. On the back of this picture he wrote, ” May 31, 1942 – I love you, Sweets”. That was his nickname for my grandmother.
