Promise of Spring

Promise of Spring

Day 337 – “All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another. ” – Anatole France

Day 335 – Looking at this photo I realize that the photographer and the hunter use the same vantage point sometimes. But we are there for very different reasons.

Day 334 – This is the lace from my wedding dress. Today my husband and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. “Whatever souls are made up, his and mine are the same.” – Emily Bronte

Paris Street

Day 333- “Paris Street; Rainy Day; 1877” by Gustave Caillebotte. This lovely postcard hangs in my office. It is one of my favorite paintings. It reminds me of an era when people had more time for elegance, for leisure, for each other. Maybe that’s just a fantasy I have created in my own mind. But I like to think that in our fast paced world, there is still time enough for living.

Foggy Morning

Foggy Morning

Day 332 – It was about 7:30am, looking east where the sun rises, when I took this photograph, but it was still very dark because of all the fog.

Day 329 – Sweetest Day – my dear friend’s mother passed away today. She was a wonderful lady who loved her family more than anything else. It was a blessing to know her.

Day 328 – “Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.” – Elizabeth Lawrence. We’ve been so busy lately that we have hardly had time for that, but perhaps sometime soon, before all the leaves fall, we can walk through the woods one more time.
